Created by a group of insurers, SRA (S\u00e9curit\u00e9 et R\u00e9paration Automobile) certification assesses the resistance of locks for motorcycles and bicycles. It applies to mechanical and electronic devices such as U-locks, chains, disc-locks or connected locks, by testing their effectiveness in the face of theft attempts: hooking, sawing, bolt-cutting or drilling. <\/p>

When an anti-theft device is SRA approved, it means it meets strict specifications validated by insurers. It is recognized as sufficiently robust to offer a high level of protection. <\/p>

Originating in the Netherlands, ART certification guarantees the level of resistance of your anti-theft device, whether for a bike or a motorcycle. This seal of quality is awarded after independent tests carried out according to strict criteria defined by insurers, two-wheeler manufacturers and consumer associations. <\/p>

Each approved anti-theft device receives a rating from 1 to 5 stars, depending on its performance against theft. The higher the number of stars, the higher the level of protection. For bicycles, a 2-star certified model is already considered sufficiently secure by Dutch insurers.
Motorcycles, on the other hand, generally require a higher level of protection.<\/p>

The FNUCI (Fichier National Unique des Cycles Identifi\u00e9s) is the official database set up by the French government to combat bicycle theft and fencing. It is managed by an association approved by the French Ministry of the Interior, responsible for supervising registration and access to this information.

When a bike is marked by an authorized operator, its unique identifier is registered in the FNUCI. This number, visible on the frame, enables law enforcement agencies, local authorities and professionals (dealers, workshops, impound yards) to quickly identify a recovered bike, even without its owner.
